Outdoor and sensory play stimulate a young child’s senses of touch, smell, taste, sight and hearing, as well as anything which engages movement and balance. An inclusive outdoor play environment inspires young children with natural materials, tactile experiences and physical challenges that enhance a child’s ability to complete more complex learning tasks.
Sensory play supports language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving skills, and social interaction. Our new inclusive playground also includes several elements designed for children with different physical abilities, and creates a place that provides engagement and fun for all of our children.
